Today, Emerging Futures, LLC officially launches its .earth domain focusing on environmental sustainability. In the past two years, Emerging Futures has increasingly worked with government and non-profit clients on topics related to climate change mitigation, with a strong emphasis on sustainable transportation. Through a series of projects, including modeling of vehicle "smart" charging in the U.S. Midwest, flexible hydrogen production for vehicles, climate benefits of ride-hailing, and global urban transportation research, EmergingFutures.earth is making important contributions to understanding the viability of clean transportation strategies.
More recently, we have begun working with the U.S. Department of Energy's Advanced Manufacturing Office on characterizing the potential for sustainable U.S. manufacturing and developing a framework for quantifying reductions in material use throughout the U.S. economy. Emerging Futures is excited to continue expanding its contribution to identifying climate change solutions that can rapidly scale globally.
